As an owner of Chem-Dry of Halifax, Duncan McGenn is 100% committed to ensuring that all his customers "receive the best service experience ever". With over 25 years experience in the carpet and upholstery cleaning industry Duncan knows what it takes.Originally from Vancouver, he was married in England and moved to Halifax 20 years ago. While he completed college on the west coast he was employed at the Pan Pacific and the Mandarin Hotels. He maintained their carpet and upholstery and understands the importance of the 5 star service provided at these fine hotels.

Duncan and his wife arrived and began their life in Halifax in 1991. This is home for them now as they have 2 children and are actively involved in the community. They have operated their own carpet cleaning business since then and became involved with Chem-Dry Canada 4 years ago.Duncan believes in the Chem-Dry process so much that he recently purchased Chem-Dry of Halifax and is working with Ernie Cousins to build upon his loyal customer base.

Duncan is certified by the I.I.C.R.C. as a Journeyman Textile Cleaner and has completed courses in Mould Remediation and Water Damage Restoration. He has cleaned and restored thousands of fine Indian and Oriental wool area carpets and is considered to be one of the most experienced technicians in the area.
